Frequently Asked Questions

As common questions come in, we will add responses to this page.

Am I eligible to vote for Michele?

Any registered voter (and same-day registration applies) inside District 535 can vote for Oakton Community College Trustee - you can double-check by looking at your ballot.

District 535 boundaries are broad, but include Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Golf, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield, Park Ridge, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, and parts of Des Plaines, Mount Prospect and Rosemont.

Approximately the boundaries are, north to Lake-Cook, west to Des Plaines, with a bump further west at about Euclid to Wolf Rd to the airport and the Chicago border at the south.

This also means that any citizens living inside that area can attend Oakton for in-district tuition. (Out of resident rates apply for visa holders and anyone living outside the boundaries, although if you work more than 35 hours per week within Oakton's boundaries, call the registrar for more information on an exception.)

Is this the same day as the Chicago election?

No. Chicago elections are in February. Early voting for Michele's election begins March 18 and Election Day is April 2.
